Removal,Separation,Joining, andInstallation(Cont).INSTALLATION(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)(9)(10)LEGENDPosition and support auxiliary steering pump and motor (4) at front leftside of rear chassis.Install and tighten three capscrews (1), lock washers (3), and nuts (2)to secure pump and motor (4). Then, position remaining capscrew (1) onground cable and install capscrew, lock washer (3) and nut (2) in mount-ing hole noted in step (1) of removal above.Connect electrical wires and cables and hoses, lines, and fittings toauxiliary steering motor and pump (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).Connect battery ground cable (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).Start and operate engine at idle speed for two minutes.Increase engine speed to full throttle for two minutes.Pull SHUT OFF control out to stop engine. Leave ignition key switch in onposition.Check that steering wheel turns fully left and right easily indicatingthat auxiliary steering pump and motor is operating.Check for hydraulic oil leakage at auxiliary steering pump and motor (4).Set ignition key switch to off position.41.
