Pressseal into front cover using 15/16 inch diameter sleeve.Remove front cover (15) from press and install in soft jawed vise withmounting surface downward.Install new O-ring (13) in front cover (15) groove.Install new seal (12) in front cover (15) groove so that open side ofseal is downward.Install new gasket (11), new heat shield (10), and new wear plate (9) onfront cover (15). Be sure that brass side of wear plate (9) is facingupwards towards gears (7 and 8).Install driven gear (8) and drive gear (7) in front cover (15,1. Be surethat small hole in driven gear (8) shaft is towards front cover (15).Install two dowel pins (6) in front cover (15).Install center body (5) on front cover (15) with match marks alined.Put small amount of lubricating oil in center body (5) around drive anddriven gears (7 and 8).Install new O-ring (4) in rear cover (3) groove.Install rear cover (3) on center body (5) with match marks alined.Install four washers (2) and capscrews (l). Tighten capscrews to 190 to210 lb-in.Remove pump from vise. Manually turn drive gear (7) shaft and check thatdrive and driven gears (7 and 8) turn freely.Join auxiliary steering pump and motor (page 3-533).3-538
