Connect hand pump to control valve assembly
port associated with circuit relief valve to
be adjusted. Use fittings from fitting kit as
necessary. Don't tighten fittings.
Move hand pump handle in both directions to
push air from connections. Tighten connec-
tions between hand pump and control valve
assembly port. If necessary, add clean lu-
bricating oil to hydraulic pump.
Move hand pump handle in both
directions. Look at hand pump
gage. Record hand pump gage
reading.
Repeat step (3) above to be sure that hand pump gage reading is correct.
Hand pump gage reading recorded above shall be 2550 to 2950 psi. If read-
ing is not correct,
turn adjusting screw out of body to decrease indica-
tion; turn adjusting screw into

Repeat steps (3) and (4) above
to recheck adjustment.
Install but don’t tighten plug
(3). Install adjusting tool on
plug and insert Allen wrench
through tool to prevent adjust-
ing screw from turning. Then
use wrench and adjusting tool
to tighten plug (3) as shown.

Using hammer and punch, strike
of expansion plug to secure it.
