3-30. BUCKET LIFT ARMS AND PIVOT ASSEMBLIES MAINTENANCE (CONT)
a. Bucket Lift Arms (Cont).
DISSASEMBLY (SHEET 1 OF 2)
(1) At one side of bucket lift arms, remove lubrication fitting (9).
(2)
Remove lock nut (10) and capscrew (11).
(3) While assistant supports link (13), remove pin (12). Remove using hammer
and 1-3/4 inches diameter rod and driving pin from link (13) and bell-
crank assembly (24).
(4) Remove link (13) and two shims (14).
(5) Repeat steps (1) through (4) above to remove remaining link (13).
NOTE
Don’t perform following step unless inspection indicates bushings (15)
require replacement.

Using hammer and 2-3/8 inches diameter rod, remove two bushings (15) by
driving from each end of link (13). Repeat for bushings in remaining
link.

If necessary, attach chain hoist to bellcrank assembly (24). Using chain
hoist, move bellcrank assembly rearward to gain access to socket head
screws (16).

Remove two socket head screws (16) and lock washers (17).
(9) Remove stop block (18) and three shims (19).
(10) Remove lubrication fitting (20).
(11) Remove locknut (21) and capscrew (22).
(12) Attach chain hoist to bellcrank assembly (24) if not already attached.
Take up all slack in chain.
(13) Using hammer and 1-3/4 inches diameter rod, remove pin (23). Remove by
driving from bellcrank assembly (24) and lift arm (26). Remove two shims
(25) and bellcrank assembly (24).
(14) Repeat steps (7) through (13) above to remove remaining bellcrank assem-
bly (24).
