1. FUEL INJECTION PUMP NOT OPERATING PROPERLY (Cont).

Operate fuel injection pump at 100 rpm.
Set test bench for 100 strokes.
Take a fuel draw.
Fuel delivery from each cylinder should be 13 to 15 cc/100 strokes
at 100 rpm.
a. If fuel delivery is as specified above, go to step 25 below.
b. If fuel delivery is not as specified above, adjust idle speed
screw as necessary. Tighten nut to lock adjustment and install
gasket and cap nut. Check that governor setting protractor scale
indicates 21 to 29 degrees.
Operate fuel injection pump at 1100 rpm.
Push control lever against no load governed speed adjustment screw.
Watch rack travel dial indicator.
Increase fuel injection pump rpm. At 1140 to 1150 rpm, rack should
pull 0.0394 inch as indicated by dial indicator.
a. If rack pulls as specified above, go to step 26 below.
b. If rack does not pull as
specified, adjust no load
governed speed adjustment
screw. Tighten nut to
lock adjustment and re-
peat this step.
