Increase fuel injection pump rpm to 1100 rpm. Rack travel dial indi-
cator should decrease to 0.477 inch (rack travel recorded in step 18
above).
a. If rack travel is as specified above, go to step 21 below.

If rack travel is not as specified above, go to step 20 below.
Remove four screws and cover plate.
Adjust torque capsule using torque capsule wrench.
Install cover plate and secure using four capscrews.
Increase fuel injection pump rpm to 700 rpm. Rack travel dial indi-
cator should decrease to 0.526 to 0.534 inch.
Increase fuel injection pump rpm to 1100 rpm. Rack travel dial indi-
cator should decrease to 0.477 inch (rack travel recorded in step 18
above) .

If rack travel is as specified above, go to step 21 below.
If rack travel is not as specified above, repeat this step. If
rack travel still is not as specified above, remove torque cap-
sule (page 3-169) and replace it. If problem still exists, re-
move guide lever, fulcrum lever, and guide sleeve (page 3-173).
Check these parts for damage or wear.
With control lever locked against no load governed speed adjustment
screw, operate fuel injection pump at 600 rpm.
Set test bench for 1000 strokes.
Take a fuel draw.
Fuel delivery from each cylinder should be 112 to 114 cc/1000
strokes at 600 rpm.
Operate fuel injection pump at 700 rpm.
Take a fuel draw.
Fuel delivery from each cylinder should be 105.5 to 113.5 cc/1000
strokes at 700 rpm.
If fuel delivery from each cylinder is as specified, go to step
22 below.
If fuel delivery from each cylinder is not as specified, remove
four screws and cover plate. Using torque capsule wrench, adjust
torque capsule. Reinstall cover plate and secure using four
screws. Repeat this step to recheck fuel delivery.
