GENERAL INFORMATION
1.
Transmission neutralizer places transmission in N (NEUTRAL) when brake pressure reaches a preset value. Transmis-
sion neutralization point for 924G Wheel Loader is factory set at 130 psi (900 kPa).
2.
When brake pressure reaches 130 psi (900 kPa), power is interrupted to transmission solenoids, causing transmission to
shift into N (NEUTRAL).
3.
Transmission neutralizer brake pressure setting may be adjusted by the operator, to suit differing operating preferences
and conditions.
4.
With transmission in N (NEUTRAL), a faster engine speed is permitted, which creates better hydraulic response. This
may be desired to raise and position the bucket at the same time.
5.
Higher transmission neutralization point could also be used when machine is operating on an upslope, to cause better
holding power.
