WATER OUTLET MANIFOLD REMOVAL

It is not necessary to remove cover
and thermostat in order to remove
water outlet manifold.
Use a container to catch any fluid that
may drain from hoses or system. Dis-
pose of fluid IAW local policy and
ordinances. Ensure all spills are
cleaned up.
1.
Drain coolant from cooling system into container for
storage or disposal (WP 0042 00).
2.
Loosen two hose clamps (10) and disconnect hoses
(11) from water outlet manifold (12).

Loosen two hose clamps (13).
4.
Remove five bolts (14) from water outlet manifold (12).
5.
Remove water outlet manifold (12) and gasket (15)
from machine. Discard gasket.
N OT E
Only perform steps 6 thru 8 if transfer-
ring components.
6.
Remove fitting (16) and plug (17). Set aside for re-
use.
7.
Remove hose (18) from engine.
8.
Remove thermostat and housing from water outlet

manifold. Refer to Thermostat Removal in this work
package.
