COOLING SYSTEM HOSES, CLAMPS, AND TANK REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

COOLANT TANK AND HOSES REMOVAL
N OT E
To remove coolant tank only, perform
steps 1, 2, 3, and 10.
1.
Loosen clamp (1) and disconnect hose (2) from top of
coolant tank (3).
2.
Disconnect hose (4) from top of coolant tank (3).
3.
Loosen clamp (5) and disconnect hose (6) from bot-
tom of coolant tank (3).
4.
Remove two bolts (7), washers (8), clips (9), spacer
(10), and two clips (11) from hoses (4 and 6).
5.
Remove hose (4) from machine.
6.
Loosen clamp (12) and remove hose (6) from bottom
of radiator (13).
7.
Loosen clamp (14) and disconnect hose (2) from top
of radiator (13).
8.
Remove hose (2) from machine.
9.
Remove hose clamps (1, 5, 12, and 14) from hoses
(2 and 6).
10.
Remove four bolts (15), washers (16), and coolant
tank (3).

COOLANT TANK AND HOSES INSTALLATION

To install coolant tank only, perform steps 1, 5, 6, and 7.
1.
Install coolant tank (3), four washers (16), and bolts (15) on machine.
2.
Install hose clamps (1, 5, 12, and 14) on hoses (2 and 6).
3.
Connect hose (6) to bottom of radiator (13) and tighten clamp (12).
4.
Install two clips (11), spacer (10), two clips (9), washers (8), and bolts (7) on hoses (4 and 6) and machine.
5.
Connect hose (6) to bottom of coolant tank (3) and tighten clamp (5).
6.
Connect hose (4) to top of coolant tank (3).
7.
Connect hose (2) to top of coolant tank (3) and radiator (13) and tighten clamps (1 and 14).
8.
Fill cooling system (WP 0042 00).
9.
Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached (TM 5-3805-290-10).
10.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
11.
Check for leaks.
