THERMOSTAT AND WATER OUTLET MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

WATER OUTLET MANIFOLD INSTALLATION
1.
If removed, install thermostat and housing on water outlet manifold. Refer to Thermostat Installation in this work pack-
age.
2.
If removed, install hose (18) on engine.
3.
If removed, install fitting (16) and plug (17) on water outlet manifold (12).
4.
Connect hose (18) to water outlet manifold (12) and install new gasket (15) and water outlet manifold (12) on machine.
5.
Install five bolts (14) in water outlet manifold (12).
6.
Tighten two hose clamps (13).
7.
Connect two hoses (11) to water outlet manifold (12) and tighten hose clamps (10).
8.
Fill radiator (WP 0042 00).
WAR N I N G
Before operating equipment, secure the steering frame lock in the stowed position. DO NOT operate
machine with steering frame lock connected. Failure to lock steering frame lock into the stowed position
before operating can result in loss of steering and injury or death to personnel.
9.
Secure steering frame lock in stowed position (TM 5-3805-290-10).
10.
Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached (TM 5-3805-290-10).
11.
Check for cooling system leaks (TM 5-3805-290-10).
12.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
