ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Release red positive lock tab (1) on wiring harness (2).
2.
Disconnect wiring harness (2) from engine oil pressure sensor (3) mounted to engine block (4).
3.
Remove engine oil pressure sensor (3) and O-ring (5) from engine block (4). Discard O-ring.

INSTALLATION
1.
Lubricate new O-ring (5) with thin coat of clean oil, install O-ring on oil pressure sensor (3), and install assembly in
engine block (4). Tighten sensor to 7 lb-ft (10 Nm).
2.
Connect wiring harness (2) to engine oil pressure sensor (3).
3.
Lock red positive lock tab (1).
4.
Check oil level and fill engine with oil (TM 5-3805-290-10).
5.
Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached (TM 5-3805-290-10).
6.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
7.
Check for engine oil leaks.
