STEERING OIL PRIMARY PRESSURE SWITCH REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect wiring harness (1) from steering oil pri-
mary pressure switch (2).
N OT E
It may be necessary to remove two of the
bolts (3) in order to gain access to steering
oil primary pressure switch (2).
2.
Remove steering oil primary pressure switch (2) and
O-ring (3) from pump (4). Discard O-ring.

INSTALLATION
1.
Lubricate new O-ring (4) with thin coat of clean oil, install O-ring on steering oil primary pressure switch (2), and install
assembly in pump (5). Tighten switch to 55 5 lb-ft (75 7 Nm).
2.
If removed, install two bolts (3) in pump (5).
3.
Connect wiring harness (1) to steering oil primary pressure switch (2).
4.
Check oil level and fill hydraulic tank with oil if necessary (TM 5-3805-290-10).
5.
Verify correct operation of secondary steering system.
6.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
7.
Check for hydraulic oil leaks.
8.
Install main control valve cover (WP 0107 00).
