BATTERY BOXES REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
N OT E
The following procedure is for the left battery box. The procedure for the right battery box is identical.
1.
Remove cotter pin (1), pin (2), and strap (3) from battery box (4). Discard cotter pin.
2.
Lift lid (5) and remove two bolts (6), washers (7), and lid from hinge (8).
3.
Remove two bolts (9), washers (10), and hinge (8) from battery box (4).
4.
Remove four bolts (11), washers (12), and cover (13) from battery box (4).

Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during pro-
cedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
N OT E
Battery box weighs 42 lb (19 kg).
5.
Attach lifting equipment to battery box and remove six bolts (14), washers (15), and battery box (4) from machine.
