Remove two locknuts (6), washers (7), and battery hold down (8) from rods (9). Discard locknuts.
5.
Remove two rods (9) from bottom of battery compartment (10).
6.
Loosen four bolts (11) on battery compartment (10).

N OT E
Batteries weigh 60 lb (27.2 kg) for standard machines and 119 lb (54 kg) for cold-weather-equipped
machines.
7.
With assistance, remove battery (12) from battery compartment (10).
8.
Repeat steps 4 thru 7 for other battery.
