E0360 Low Engine Oil
Conditions Which Generate This
Pressure Event Code
Code:
Low engine oil pressure is detected
during engine operation.
System Response:
A warning will appear on instrument
panel; event code will be logged.
Possible Performance Effect:
Engine ECM will derate engine power
by 17.0 percent per second up to
100 percent while the event code is
active.
Test Step 1. Check for Active
Diagnostic Codes.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0008) and
select C6.6 924.
2. Start and run the engine
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
CAUTION
Do not continue to operate the engine with low oil pressure. If measured
oil pressure is low, discontinue engine operation until the problem is
corrected.
Failure to follow this caution will cause damage to engine.
NOTE
The warning will be cancelled if the oil pressure rises 3 psi (21 kPa)
above the minimum oil pressure setpoint for 20 seconds.
3. Using MSD (WP 0008), check for
Diagnostic Codes Are Not Active -
active diagnostic codes.
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Diagnostic Codes Are Active - Refer
to (WP 0005) and repair active
diagnostic codes first.
Test Step 2. Check Engine Oil Level.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
