9. Remove one nut (Figure 10, Item 7), two washers (Figure 10, Item 8), bolt (Figure 10, Item 2) and bracket link
(Figure 10, Item 3) from counterweight removal tool (Figure 10, Item 6).
10. Remove one pin (Figure 10, Item 4) from same side of counterweight removal tool (Figure 10, Item 6) and slide
counterweight removal tool from side counterweight (Figure 10, Item 1).
11. Repeat steps for other side of machine.

Rear Counterweight Installation

WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
One rear counterweight is mounted to the rear of the MP bucket and one rear
counterweight is secured on a pallet.
Each rear counterweight weighs approximately 250 lb (113 kg).
Rear counterweights are designed with lift bar incorporated.
