3. Arctic Heater Does Not
Test Step 1. Inspect the Arctic
Turn ON
Heater Fuse.
1. Remove Arctic Heater 20a fuse
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Using a digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Install arctic heater fuse (TM 5-3805-
between fuse terminals.
298-10).
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
Install new arctic heater fuse (TM 5-
3805-298-10).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 2. Test Arctic Heater
Voltage, Ground, and Signal
Circuits.
1. Remove right lower cab access
panels (WP 0347).
2. Disconnect arctic heater wiring
harness connector HJ-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 229) from arctic
heater (WP 0012, Figure 229).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
the ON position (TM 5-3805-298-
10).
4. Turn arctic heater switch to the ON
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 - 26 V - Proceed to step 6.
(WP 0174), test for voltage
Voltage Less than 18 V - Proceed to
between arctic heater wiring
Test Step 6.

machine ground.
