REMOVAL CONTINUED
7. Remove fitting (Figure 4, Item 1) and O-ring (Figure 4, Item 2) from backhoe dipper cylinder (Figure 4, Item 5).
Discard O-ring.
8. Remove two retaining rings (Figure 4, Item 3) and four washers (Figure 4, Item 4) from backhoe dipper cylinder
(Figure 4, Item 5).
9. Remove two retaining rings (Figure 4, Item 6) and washers (Figure 4, Item 7) from backhoe dipper cylinder
(Figure 4, Item 5).

10. Attach lifting device (Figure 5, Item 1) and sling (Figure 5, Item 2) to support backhoe dipper cylinder
(Figure 5, Item 3).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Backhoe dipper cylinder weighs 165 lb (75 kg).
11. With lifting device, remove two pins (Figure 5, Item 4) and backhoe dipper cylinder (Figure 5, Item 3) from
machine and lower onto flat surface.
12. Remove sling (Figure 5, Item 2) and lifting device (Figure 5, Item 1) from backhoe dipper cylinder
(Figure 5, Item 3).
