WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Tooth bar weighs 215 lb (96 kg).
Blades weigh 175 lb (79 kg) each.
1. Start engine (TM 5-2420-231-10).
2. Position bucket assembly slightly off ground (TM 5-2420-231-10).
3. Stop engine (TM 5-2420-231-10).
4. With assistance, remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 8), nuts (Figure 1, Item 6), and washers (Figure 1, Item 7)
from bucket (Figure 1, Item 3).
5. With assistance, remove tooth bar (Figure 1, Item 4) from bucket (Figure 1, Item 3).
6. With assistance, remove 20 nuts (Figure 1, Item 1), bolts (Figure 1, Item 5), and 2 blades (Figure 1, Item 2)
from bucket (Figure 1, Item 3).
