NOTE
Replace an item if inspection indicates need for replacement.
Inspect bearings (4, 14, and 15) by rotating and checking that it turns
smoothly. Check bearing balls and rollers for flat areas, pitting,
scored, scratched, chipped, or cracked races.
Inspect turbine driven gears (1 and 16) for chipped, nicked, burred, or
broken teeth.
Use spring gage to check springs (11) compression under load. Replace
spring if pressure required to compress spring to 1.14 inches is not 6.05
to 7.25 pounds.
Inspect front cover (19) for cracks or distortion.
Inspect all other parts for cracks, scratches, burrs, or damaged threads.
