Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes and don-t breathevapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat and don’t smokewhen using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you be-come dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air and medicalattentionwith largewith waterCompressedonly with(goggles/shield, gloves, etc). Failure to do so could cause seriousinjury to eyes and possible blindness. If you hurt your eyes or if aforeign object is blown into your eyes, seek medical attentionimmediately.immediately.If contact with skin or clothes is made, flushamounts of water. If contact with eyes is made, wash eyesand get medical aid immediately.air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi. Useeffective chip guarding and personal protective equipment(1)(2)(3)Clean bearing (22) and cone and rollers (15 and 20) by immersing incleaning solvent P-D-680 and slowly moving up and down. Remove fromcleaning solvent and strike larger side of cone against a block of woodto dislodge solidified particles of lubricant. Immerse again in cleaningsolvent and repeat above until clean. Dry using compressed air. Directair stream across bearing to avoid spinning. Don’t spin bearings whendrying; rotate slowly by hand to facilitate drying. After drying, lubri-cate using clean hypoid gear oil. Keep in a clean area.Clean differential carrier (27) by immersing in cleaning solvent P-D-680and agitate cleaning solvent. Let differential carrier soak for severalminutes. Remove from bath. Use compressed air to clear and dry recessesin differential carrier.Clean remaining parts using cleaning solvent P-D-680. Dry using cleancloths.4-224
