(27) Remove two 7/16-20NF capscrews and flange holding tool from yoke (9).
(28) Install plug (24) and, if front axle differential carrier is being
reassembled, nut (25) and thrust screw (26) on differential carrier (27),
if removed. Do not tighten nut (25) or thrust screw (26).
(29) If removed, press four dowel pins (21) into differential caps (4).
(30) Temporarily install two differential caps (4), four washers (3), and
capscrews (2) on differential carrier (27). Be sure match marks are
alined. Tighten capscrews (2) to 290 to 350 lb-ft.
(31) Install bearing cups (6). If bearing cups (6) do not move freely, use
medium grit abrasive cloth to remove material from differential caps (4)
and differential carrier (27).
