TM 5-3605-262-342-16. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT)MALFUNCTIONTEST OR INSPECTIONCORRECTIVE ACTION3. ALL CYLINDER ASSEMBLIES OPERATE SLUGGISH OR POOR (Cont).Step 3. Turn off engine.Drain hydraulic reservoir and replace hydraulic filter (refer to TM5-3605-262-20).Repeat control valve neutral pressure check (page 3-621).If neutral pressure is still not less than 500 psi, turn off en-gine. Remove control valve hydraulic return lines and check fordirt or other obstructions (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).Step 4. Check main relief valve pressure setting (page 3-615).a. If main relief valve pressure setting is not 2300 ±50 psi, adjust (page 3-617).b. If main relief valve pressure setting is okay, go to step 5below.Step 5. Perform flowmeter tests (page 3-627).a. If flowmeter tests are not acceptable, and problem was in aloader circuit, refer to Malfunction 1 or 2 (page 2-123). Ifproblem was in loader section of hydraulic pump, replacehydraulic pump (page 3-612).b. If flowmeter tests are okay, go to page 3-19 and check enginestall speeds.4. LIFT ARM, BUCKET, OR CLAM OPERATION TOO SLOW.Step 1.Check main relief valve pressure setting (page 3-615).a. If main relief valve pressure setting is not 2300 ±50 psi, adjust (page 3-617).b. If main relief valve pressure setting is okay, go to step 2below.Step 2.Perform flowmeter tests (page 3-627).a. If flowmeter tests are not acceptable, and problem was in aloader circuit, refer to Malfunction 1 or 2 (page 2-123). Ifproblem was in loader section of hydraulic pump, replacehydraulic pump (page 3-612).b. If flowmeter tests are okay, go to page 3-19 and check enginestall speeds.2-124
