2-15. CAB TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT)
MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
2. CAB UPPER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH.
Step 1.
Check if upper door latch
mounting hardware is
loose.
a. If mounting hardware
is loose, tighten.
b. If mounting hardware
is tight, go to step
below.

Step 2.
Check upper door latch tongue for damage.
a.

If latch tongue is damaged, replace latch (page 3-588).
Check if lower door latch plate is bent. If latch plate is bent,
straighten.
If latch tongue and latch plate are okay, go to step 3 below.
Step 3.
Inspect upper door for damage or bent condition.
a. If upper door is bent or damaged, replace (page 3-588).
b. If upper door is not bent or damaged, check that upper door is
correctly installed. Remove and reinstall (page 3-588) if neces-
sary.
3. CAB LOWER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH.
Step 1. Inspect cab lower door latch and door striker for damage.
a. If door latch or door striker are damaged, replace (page 3-588).
b. If door latch and door striker are not damaged, go to step 2
below.
