MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. CAB UPPER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH BACK.
Step 1.
Inspect latch assembly for broken or missing spring.
Step 2.

spring is broken or missing, replace (page 3-584).
spring is not broken or missing, go to step 2 below.
Check latch protruding from cab
for bent condition or other dam-
age.
a. If latch is bent or damaged,
replace (page 3-584).
b. If latch is okay, check bracket
welded to upper door for bent
condition. If bent, try to
straighten.
If welded bracket
cannot be straightened, replace
upper door (page 3-588).
