1. Oil Pump (Cont).
(2) Detailed Procedure (Cont).
REMOVAL
(a) Loosen oil suction tube (1) nut and remove oil suction tube.
(b) Loosen and remove connector (2).
(c) Remove two capscrews (3) and washers (4). Discard washers.
NOTE
Be sure main bearing cap stays on engine block when removing oil pump.
(d) Remove oil pump (5). Do not remove main bearing cap from engine block.
(e) Remove shims (6) and wire together to prevent loss.
(f) Remove and discard O-ring (7).
