TOOLS: No. 1 Common Organizational Maintenance Tool Kit Hand hammer, 16 ounces Craftsman’s knife Screwdriver Safety glasses Key set, socket head screw Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive Combination box and open end wrench set Automotive Mechanic’s Tool Kit Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive Drive pin punch, 1/8 inch point Spring gage Hand file, round Container, one gallon capacity MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1) Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2) Detergent (Appendix C, item 4) Abrasive cloth (Appendix C, item 8) Engine lubricating oil (Appendix C, item 9) Oil-soluble grease (Appendix C, item 26) Thread sealant (Appendix C, item 37) Antifreeze (Appendix C, item 38) Plug (FSCM 10988 PN 41-1020) Seal (FSCM 10988 PN A153806) Seal kit (FSCM 10988 PN A44075) REFERENCE: TM 5-3805-262-20 NOTE PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Coolant drained from cylinder block and radiator, engine oil drained, and engine oil filter removed (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). REMOVAL (SHEET 1 OF 2) (1) Position container under drain valve (l), open drain valve, and drain coolant. (2) Remove drain valve (l). (3) Loosen two clamps (2) at oil cooler assembly. (4) Disconnect two hoses (11 and 15) from oil cooler assembly. (5) Remove two clamps (2) from hoses (11 and 15). 3-96
