REMOVAL

Position container under feed
pump (3).
Support feed pump (3) and re-
move three nuts (1) and lock
washers (2).
Remove feed pump (3) and gasket
(4). Discard gasket (4).
NOTE
Don’t remove studs (5) unless inspec-
tion indicates need for replacement.
DISASSEMBLY

Loosen lock nut (12), swing bail
way, and remove filter assembly
Remove and discard gasket (6).
(l0) out of
(6 thru 9).
Remove and discard filter element (7) and
spring (8) from fuel bowl (9).
Pry bail (10) from body (28).
Separate locknut (12) from setscrew (11)
only if necessary for replacement.
Remove plug (13) and gasket (14); discard
gasket (14).
Remove spring (15), plunger (16), and spin-
dle (17).
Remove and discard O-ring (18).
Remove two plugs (19) and remove and discard
gaskets (20), springs (21), and valves (22).
Push roller tappet (24, 25, and 26) into
body (28) bore and remove two sliding blocks
(27).
Remove retaining ring (23) and roller tappet
(24, 25, and 26). -
NOTE
Don’t remove pin (26) and roller (25) from
tappet (24) unless inspection indicates
need for replacement.
