Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive
Automotive Mechanic’s Tool Kit
Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive
Putty knife
Rubber mallet
MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1)
Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2)
Lubricating oil (Appendix C, item 15)
Transmission gasket kit (FSCM 73342 PN 6838897)

PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Engine front side panels removed (refer to TM
5-3805-262-10) and transmission oil drained (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20);
hydraulic pump removed (page 3-612) and rear wiring harness mounting
bracket removed from charging pump (page 3-274).

seven capscrews (3) and lock washers
(3) Using rubber mallet, hit charging pump to
loosen charging pump from transmission
housing. Remove charging pump (4) and
gasket (5). Discard gasket (5).
