Move hand pump handle in both directions and look at pressure gage on
hand pump. Record highest pressure indication on gage.
Repeat step (4) above several times to ensure that recorded pressure in-
dication is correct.
Pressure indication shall be 2550 to 2950 psi. If pressure indication is
not correct, go
to step (7) below, otherwise go to step (13) below.
At circuit relief valve associated with circuit being checked, use 1/4
inch drill bit to drill hole in center of expansion plug. Use drive pin
punch inserted in hole to remove expansion plug.
Remove lock plug (8) using fabricated tool.
Turn adjusting screw (9) clockwise to increase pressure setting; counter-
clockwise to decrease pressure setting.
Using fabricated tool to prevent adjusting screw (9) from turning, in-
stall and tighten lock plug (8).
Repeat steps (4) and (5) and (8) through (10) above to check and adjust
pressure setting if necessary.
Install new expansion plug (7) in circuit
Release hand pump pressure and disconnect
