Do not tighten.Push rod (6) farther into cylinder tube (20) using soft hammer or steel rodinserted through rod (6) eye.NOTEIf gland (15) has a plug (14) go to step w below. If gland (15) andcylinder tube (20) use screw (1) go to step x if same gland is installedthat was removed or, if a new gland is installed go to step y.Install gland (15) into cylinder tube until gland comes in contact with cylin-der tube. Using spanner wrench, tighten gland to 200 to 300 lb-ft.Tighten gland (15) to 100 to 200lb-ft. Each half of hole for screw (1)must be alined. Install screw (1). Ifeach half of hole is alined before 100lb-ft torque, drill a new hole half ingland and half in tube. Use number 26drill bit and drill 5/16 inch deep.Don’t drill hole in same position as ahole for spanner wrench. Install screw(1).Tighten gland (15) to 100 to 200lb-ft. Drill a hole half in gland andhalf in tube. Use number 26 drill bitand drill 5/16 inch deep. Don’t drillhole in same position as a hole forspanner wrench.
