WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and
of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device.
DO NOT attempt to install attachment with auger in vertical position.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
1. Install auger on machine (WP 0010). Make sure hoses are not pinched.
2. Position auger so that extension or bits can be installed horizontally.
3. Stop engine. Refer to Stopping Engine (WP 0005).
NOTE
There are two auger attachments and an extension bar for auger work tool. Attach in the
same manner.
Install extension between auger bit and drive as needed.
Large auger weighs 235 lb (107 kg). Requires lifting device.
Small auger weighs 120 lb (54 kg).
4. Set bit (Figure 1, Item 3) on floor. Align holes of bit (Figure 1, Item 3) with holes on shaft of drive (Figure 1, Item
1).
5. Remove ring (Figure 1, Item 4) and retaining pin (Figure 1, Item 2) from bit (Figure 1, Item 3).
6. With assistance, align shaft of drive (Figure 1, Item 1) and bit (Figure 1, Item 3) and slide bit (Figure 1, Item 3)
into place.
NOTE
If retaining pin cannot be installed or removed by hand, use hammer and pin punch.
7. With assistance, slide bit (Figure 1, Item 3) on shaft of drive (Figure 1, Item 1), install retaining pin (Figure 1,
Item 2) and ring (Figure 1, Item 4).
