REMOVAL CONTINUED
1. Drain fuel filter element sediment bowl (Figure 1, Item 7) into a container.
2. Turn fuel filter element (Figure 1, Item 6) counterclockwise to remove from head (Figure 1, Item 4).
3. Remove inlet fuel line (Figure 1, Item 5) and outlet fuel line (Figure 1, Item 11) from head (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Disconnect hose (Figure 1, Item 9) from elbow (Figure 1, Item 8).
5. Remove elbow (Figure 1, Item 8) from fitting (Figure 1, Item 10).
6. Remove fitting (Figure 1, Item 10) from head (Figure 1, Item 4).
7. Disconnect electrical connector (Figure 1, Item 12).
8. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 3) and head (Figure 1, Item 4) from engine.
9. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 1) and bracket (Figure 1, Item 2) from engine.

Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and
low toxic material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves
and goggles. Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other
sources of ignition. Failure follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
1. Clean all parts (except rubber and plastic surfaces) and mating surfaces with solvent cleaning compound.
