REMOVAL

1. Lift engine compartment hood and open rear engine door (Figure 1, Item 1).
N OT E
Tag all electrical connections for ease of assembly.
2. Disconnect two electrical connectors from right-rear tail lamp (Figure 1, Item 2).
3. Disconnect two electrical connectors from left-rear tail lamp (Figure 1, Item 8).
4. Disconnect electrical connector from rear work light (Figure 1, Item 5).
5. Disconnect two electrical connectors from backup alarm (Figure 1, Item 7).
6. Remove wiring harness (Figure 1, Item 6) from clamp (Figure 1, Item 13).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure that any lifting equipment is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported by lifting equipment. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel. In the event of injury, seek
medical attention.
N OT E
Rear engine door weighs approximately 80 lbs.
7. With assistance, remove pivot bolt (Figure 1, Item 14), nut (Figure 1, Item 16), spacer (Figure 1, Item 15), rear
engine door, and washer (Figure 1, Item 9) from machine.
8. Remove bolt (Figure 1, Item 10), washer (Figure 1, Item 11), star washer (Figure 1, Item 12), clamp (Figure 1,
Item 13), washer (Figure 1, Item 4), and nut (Figure 1, Item 3) from machine.
