assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to
personnel.
N OT E
Each battery weighs 60 lb (27.2 kg).
1. Install two batteries (Figure 2, Item 9) in battery compartment.
2. Install rod (Figure 2, Item 2) in battery compartment.
3. Install hold-down (Figure 2, Item 5), washer (Figure 2, Item 4), and nut (Figure 2, Item 3) on rod (Figure 2, Item
2).
N OT E
Connect negative (black) cable last.
4. Connect six battery cables (Figure 2, Item 6) to batteries (Figure 2, Item 9).
5. Install four nuts (Figure 2, Item 7) and covers (Figure 2, Item 1) on batteries (Figure 2, Item 9).
6. Install fuse (Figure 2, Item 8).
