REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Do not use pry bar to separate the cylinder head from the cylinder block. Do not damage
machined surfaces of cylinder head or cylinder block during removal.
NOTE
Cylinder head weighs approximately 145.5 lb (66 kg).
17. Install two bracket links (Figure 7, Item 2) and bolts (Figure 7, Item 1) on cylinder head (Figure 7, Item 3).
18. Install lifting device on bracket links (Figure 7, Item 2).
19. Using lifting device, remove cylinder head (Figure 7, Item 3) from cylinder block (Figure 7, Item 4). Place on flat
level surface.
20. Remove lifting device from bracket links (Figure 7, Item 2).
21. Remove two bolts (Figure 7, Item 1) and bracket links (Figure 7, Item 2) from cylinder head (Figure 7, Item 3).
