22. Remove two bolts (Figure 8, Item 1), washers (Figure 8, Item 2), and muffler bracket (Figure 8, Item 3) from
cylinder head (Figure 8, Item 4).

Note position of dowel pins in cylinder block to aid installation.
Gasket may stick to engine block or cylinder head.
23. Remove cylinder head gasket (Figure 9, Item 1) from cylinder block (Figure 9, Item 3). Discard cylinder head
gasket.
24. Remove two dowel pins (Figure 9, Item 2) from cylinder block (Figure 9, Item 3). Discard dowel pins.
