THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT CONTINUED
4. Operate hand throttle lever (TM 5-2420-231-10) and observe operation of foot throttle. Foot throttle should
actuate in sync with actuation of hand throttle lever.
NOTE
Shorten throttle cable jacket to lengthen the throttle cable.
Lengthen throttle cable jacket to shorten the throttle cable.
5. If hand throttle cable (Figure 24, Item 3) is out of adjustment;
a. Adjust hand throttle cable jacket (Figure 24, Item 8) length by loosening two jamnuts (Figure 24, Items
7 or 2) at hand throttle lever (Figure 24, Item 1) or foot throttle pedal assembly (Figure 24, Item 6). Screw
jamnuts in to shorten or out to lengthen hand throttle cable jacket.
b. Adjust hand throttle cable (Figure 24, Item 3) length by loosening jamnut (Figure 24, Item 4) at hand
throttle cable end (Figure 24, Item 5). Screw hand throttle cable end in to shorten or out to lengthen hand
throttle cable.
c.
Tighten all jamnuts.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to verify hand throttle cable adjustment.
