REMOVAL

1. Remove cap from hydraulic tank (TM 5-2420-231-10).
2. Remove cotter pin (Figure 1, Item 4), washer (Figure 1, Item 3), and pin (Figure 1, Item 1) from boom lock lever
(Figure 1, Item 2). Discard cotter pin.
3. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 6), lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 7), and washers (Figure 1, Item 8) from boom
lock lever bracket (Figure 1, Item 5). Position boom lock lever bracket aside. Discard lockwashers.

4. Disconnect five tubes (Figure 2, Item 10) and two hydraulic hoses (Figure 2, Item 9) from backhoe control
valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
5. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 2) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
6. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 3) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
7. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 5) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
8. Remove fitting (Figure 2, Item 4) and O-ring (Figure 2, Item 8) from backhoe control valve assembly
(Figure 2, Item 13). Discard O-ring.
9. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 6) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
10. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 7) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
11. Disconnect tube (Figure 2, Item 12) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
12. Disconnect tube (Figure 2, Item 12) from backhoe swing cushion valve (Figure 2, Item 11).
13. Remove tube (Figure 2, Item 12) from machine.
14. Disconnect hydraulic hose (Figure 2, Item 1) from backhoe control valve assembly (Figure 2, Item 13).
