REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support during
procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load
capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Backhoe dipper support arm weighs approximately 1,100 lb (499 kg).
26. Remove nut (Figure 12, Item 3), washer (Figure 12, Item 2), washer (Figure 12, Item 1), and pin (Figure 12,
Item 4) from backhoe dipper support arm (Figure 12, Item 5).
27. Using lifting device, remove backhoe dipper support arm (Figure 12, Item 5) from machine and lower onto a flat
surface.
28. Remove lifting device and slings from backhoe dipper support arm (Figure 12, Item 5).
