Make sure the oil hole in the bear-ing is in alignment with the oil hole in thecylinder block. The bearing must be 0.8 ± 0.5mm (.03 ± .02 in.) inside the end of the cylin-der block after installation.Use tooling (A) to install the balancer shaftcenter bearing so the front of the bearing is290.6 ± 0.5 mm (11.44 ± .02 in.) from thefront surface of the cylinder block. Make surethe oil hole in the bearing is in alignment withthe oil hole in the cylinder block.Use tooling (A) to install balancer shaft rearbearing (2) so the front of the bearing is 601.0± 0.5 mm (23.66 ± .02 in.) from the frontsurface of the cylinder block.
