If AIRPRESS gage pointer does notindicate in green zone after30 to 45 seconds, stop engineand check cause.Check that VOLTMETER gage indi-cates between 22 to 30 volts. Ifnormal VOLTMETER gage indicationis not seen, turn off engine andcheck cause.(16) Operate engine at approximately 1000rpm until WATER TEMP gage pointerindicates in green area.Don-t operate engine at idle speed for long periods of time. Longperiods at idle speed will cause acids and deposits to fom in enginefrom low operating temperatures.b.Starting the Loader.(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)Operate LIFT ARM control lever and raise bucket no less than 12 inchesfrom ground.Put vehicle lights switch main switch lever in STOP LIGHT position.Press brake treadle valve.Release PARKING BRAKE control by pushing knob in-ward as far as it will go. BRAKE ENGAGED andCLUTCH PRESS warning indicators will go out.Move transmission control lever to desired posi-tion.Release foot pressure from brake treadle valveand press accelerator pedal as required to moveloader and accelerate to desired speed.Use following guide lines for transmission shifting:Shifting from high range forward (H) to low range forward (L) at aground and engine speed higher than 1/4 throttle will damage transmis-sion. Shifting from high range forward (H) to reverse (R) when loader ismoving will also damage transmission.2-51
