If pressure gage indication was higher than 40 psi, a restric-tion exists in oil cooler circuit. Disconnect transmissioncooler lines and check for restriction (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). Flush and clean oil cooler located at bottom of radiator.b. If pressure gage indication was less than 40 psi, spring in tor-que converter pressure regulator is broken or damaged. Replacetransmission (page 3-330) and forward to general support mainte-nance e.c. If pressure gage indication was 40 psi, disconnect pressure gagehose from transmission port.Install converter temperature send-er in transmission port (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). Go to step3 below.Step 3.At right side of transmission, locate fitting connected to inlet ofoil cooler. Marking TO COOLER is beside fitting. Loosen and discon-nect hose fitting from this fitting.Connect flowmeter inlet hose to fitting from which oil cooler hosewas disconnected.2-88
