Vise
Multimeter
Wire probe
MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1)
Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2)
Abrasive cloth (Appendix C, item 8)
Insulation tape (Appendix C, item 42)

NOTE
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Electric fuel pump removed from loader (refer to
TM 5-3805-262-20).
DISASSEMBLY

Install electric fuel pump in vise as
shown being careful not to over-
tighten vise causing damage to pump
body.
Using open end wrench, turn cover (1)
until cover tabs clear pins in body
(11) then remove cover. Remove elec-
tric fuel pump from vise.
Remove filter (2).
Using a wire probe, remove retainer
(3) as shown.
Remove washer (4), O-ring (5), and
valve (6). Remove plunger spring (7)
and plunger (8) as an assembly.
Remove plunger spring (7) from
plunger (8).
Remove magnet (9) and gasket (10)
from cover (1).
