If it doesn’t, in-new plunger. Don’t try to remove check valve from plunger (8).Inspect plunger spring (7) for cracks, broken coils, and permanent set.Inspect body (11) for cracks, breaks, dents, or distortion.Inspect wire lead for cracked or broken insulation or insulator (12), orbroken wire strands at connection to terminal (13). Repair cracked orbroken insulation or damaged insulator (12) using insulation tape appliedto area. If broken wire strands are seen, discard electric fuel pump.Inspect all other parts for damage, wear, corrosion, or cracks.3-190
