aa. Remove plunger assembly, shift lever (52), and brake washer (53) from lever
housing (63).
NOTE
Perform following steps only if inspection indicates need for replace-
ment.
ab. Disassemble drive housing (57):
(1) Punch a hole in plug (54) and pry from drive housing (57). Discard plug
(54).
(2) Pull oil wick (55) from drive housing (57).
(3)
Press bushing (56) from drive housing (57) using vise or hydraulic press
and appropriate sleeve.
ac. Disassemble lever housing (63):
(1) Pry rubber plug (58) from lever housing (63). Discard rubber plug.
(2)
Punch a hole in plug (59) and pry from lever housing (63). Discard plug
(59).
(3) Pull oil wick (60) from lever housing (63).
(4) Remove seal (61) from lever housing (63) using pry bar.
(5) Press bushing (62) from lever housing (63) using vise or hydraulic press
and appropriate sleeve.
ad. Disassemble plunger assembly:
(1) Press down on outer seat (65), remove retaining ring (64), and slowly
release spring
(2) Separate outer
(3) Pull boot (68)
tension.
