Tell assistant to turn off engine.
Start pin into rear chassis bracket
and rod eye. Be sure capscrew hole in
pin is alined with hole in chassis
bracket.
Drive pin into position to secure rod
end of steering cylinder assembly.
Install capscrew and lock nut. Tight-
en lock nut securely.
Lubricate two lubrication fittings on
steering cylinder assembly (refer to
LO 5-3805-262-12).
Repeat steps (6) through (12) to
complete installation of remaining
steering cylinder assembly.
Check hydraulic reservoir oil level. Add oil
if level is low (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Disengage transport/service link (refer to TM 5-3805-262-10).
Start engine and operate at idle speed. Turn steering wheel all the way
right then left several times to remove air from steering cylinder assem-
blies. Turn off engine.
Check for hydraulic oil leakage at hose connections to steering cylinder
assemblies. Tighten connections as necessary.
