NoiseReductionPads (Cont).CLEANING AND INSPECTION(1)Clean foam pads (1 thru 9) and headliners (10 thru 12) using clean water.Steam clean if oily or greasy. Dry using clean cloths.Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 used to clean parts is toxic and flammable.Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well ventilatedarea. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes and don’t breathevapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat and don’t smokewhen using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you be-come dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air and medicalattention immediately.If contact with skin or clothes is made, flushwith large amounts of water.If contact with eyes is made, wash eyeswith water and get medical aid immediately.(2) Clean foam pad (1 thru 9) and headliners (10 thru 12) mounting surfacesusing cleaning solvent P-D-680. Remove all grease, oil, dirt, rust, andfoam material from surfaces.(3) Inspect foam pads (1 thru 9) and headliners (10 thru 12) for tears,cracks, oil, or grease. Replace if damaged or cannot be cleaned.INSTALLATIONAdhesive used to glue foam pads (1 thru 9) and headliners (10 thru 12)is toxic. Use only in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin,eyes and clothes and don’t breathe vapors. Don’t smoke when using it.Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you become dizzy whileusing adhesive, get fresh air and medical attention immediately.(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)3-582Apply adhesive to foam pad (1)mounting surface.Install foam pad (1) on cab.Repeat steps (1) and (2) aboveto install eight remaining foampads (2 thru 9) and headliners(10 thru 12).Install plugs to secureheadliners (10 thru 12) to cabceiling.Install operator’s seat (referto TM 5-3805-262-20).
