Be sure clam assembly issecurely supported before performing following step. Failure to do socould result in severe injury or death due to clam assembly falling andcrushing personnel. If you are injured by falling equipment, obtainmedical aid immediately.(7) Move each control lever in both directions to relieve hydraulic systempressure. Then return all control levers to NEUT. or HOLD position.(8) Disconnect hydraulic hose from rod end and closed end of each bucket tiltcylinder assembly, lift cylinder assembly, and bucket clamshell cylinderassembly (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).(9) Start engine and operate at idle speed.Check hydraulic reservoir sight gage frequently while performingfollowing steps. Add oil to hydraulic reservoir if level is low (referto TM 5-3805-262-20).(10)(11)(12)(13)(14)(15)Move LIFT ARM control lever in both directions until oil flows from dis-connected hydraulic hoses. Hold LIFT ARM control lever in operating posi-tions until clean hydraulic oil flows from hoses.Repeat step (10) above for BUCKET and CLAM control levers.Turn off engine.Connect hydraulic hose to closed end of each hydraulic cylinder (refer toTM 5-3805-262-20).Start engine and operate at idle speed.Disconnect chain hoist from clam assembly. Connect chain hoist to liftarm crossbeam.3-758
