Tag battery cables and connection points to aid in installation.
1. Remove cover (Figure 1, Item 16), nut (Figure 1, Item 18), washer (Figure 1, Item 19), and positive battery
cable (Figure 1, Item 1) from stud (Figure 1, Item 17).
2. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 8) and negative battery cable (Figure 1, Item 7) from engine ground stud (Figure 1,
Item 9).
3. Remove cover (Figure 1, Item 14), nut (Figure 1, Item 13), and positive battery cable (Figure 1, Item 1) from
single-point power distribution block (Figure 1, Item 12).
4. Remove four bolts (Figure 1, Item 3), washers (Figure 1, Item 2), and clamps (Figure 1, Item 4) from machine.
5. Remove tiedown straps (Figure 1, Item 15), negative battery cable (Figure 1, Item 7), and positive battery
cables (Figure 1, Item 1) from machine. Discard tiedown straps.
6. Remove two suppressors (Figure 1, Item 10) from cable (Figure 1, Item 11).
7. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 5) and lockwasher (Figure 1, Item 6), and cable (Figure 1, Item 11) from alternator.
Discard lockwasher.
